UMOVE grew from one practical trailer and a simple idea: trailer hire should be affordable, straightforward and supported by someone who genuinely knows the equipment.
From one trailer to a growing local fleet
It began in May 2023 with a trailer bought for a car-boot sale and some extra storage. That simple purchase raised a question: could we make local trailer hire easier and far more affordable?
After seeing how difficult and expensive hiring a trailer in Leeds could be, we began advertising through social media. The first booking arrived, then more followed, and a practical idea started to become a real family business.
How UMOVE began
UMOVE was born
Early social-media bookings proved there was demand for clean, fairly priced trailers with friendly local help.
The fleet expands
A brand-new twin-wheel Debon C500 joined the fleet, alongside new trailer signage and the UMOVE website address.
Online booking goes live
The first UMOVE booking website launched, making it easier for customers to see the fleet and arrange their hire.
Ten trailers and sales
Following a strong 2024, the fleet reached ten quality trailers and UMOVE became an authorised Tickners Trailers dealer.
